The original plan for today was to go to the Apex Turkey Trot 5k to cheer for my friends Shannon, Ellie, and Julie. We all started running this year and we've fromed some sort of trainwreck run club. Well today is the end of week one. I only ran twice this week my back hurt so bad after the second day that I took a few days off. I decided that I will do week one again that way I actually do what the program says to do. I think it's a good start just getting my rear off the couch. My 17 year old asked his girlfriend to marry him. I can't believe it. First, I asked my littlest for her MP3 player again and she asked "can I run with you?" I told her, "yes, but if you get tired Mommy still has to do this. On September 12, my husband and I completed a challenging duathlon: bike: approximately 30 miles and run: 4.3 miles on trails (less than the 5 miles advertised, which I'm glad!). Looking for runners to join us at Shelby Bottoms Park to jump start the Holiday season. This run was previously called the Jingle Bell 5K but has been renamed to the Snowflake 5K to not conflict with a trademark by the Arthritis Foundation. We have lots of things happening at the race! Today I dusted off the mountain bike and went for a lunchtime spin with some fellow Active employees. I ran the My Tracks app from Google on the myTouch3G to see what its capabilities were. It's a fairly simple app - you basically push a start recording button to start tracking your location and then stop recording when you are finished.
