I'd love to pretend it IS because I'm fast - but seriously - there was a LOT of downhill..... I mean a lot. I really think  know that helped.
I'm doing another half in Atlanta in the fall so I'll be able to see better what my 'real' time is - however I have to say this race is an ego booster for sure.

I think the overall winner had a time of 1:13 CAN YOU IMAGINE????????????  That was my 10k time last year hahahahhha  Omg some people are just too fast

Well - if you ever want to get a PR plan to do the Downhill at Dawn in Ridgecrest, NC.  It's at a baptist conference center and they have little hotel/apartment type things there.  $89 a night and the race literally started right outside our door!!  People there were SO NICE and it really made us feel like a million bucks (minus mile 10 - that made us feel SORE hahaha).

    My PR's (post kid haha)

Beat the Street for Little Feet 5k: 26:34

    Big Peach Sizzler 10K: 52:21

Downhill at Dawn Half Marathon: 1:55:02 (first and only other than one that I ran with a friend to pace her)

Soldier Marathon: 4:09:16 (first and only so far...)

sounds like everyone is doing well!  i've been so busy that i've only had time to do shorter runs this week--  2-3 miles.  however, i've been running every-other-day and will, hopefully, do 4 miles tomorrow.  i've also been fighting this horrible stomach bug that put me out last week and slowed me down this week.  i'm feeling better and am registered to do a 10k on sunday.  i registered before my bug hit me, so i'm going to take it easy.

a couple of weeks ago, i also signed up for my first half, which will be the northern california half in san jose in mid-sept.  i think it will be fun and am looking forward to it.  so, i've got two halfs on my calendar--  one in september and one in november.

    have a great weekend!
