Hey 350, good job looking for a race to take on. That one sounds so very cool. I for one can promise you that there is soooooo much fun being last at one of these community races. Everyone cheers for you. Everyone is proud of you. Everyone celebrates that you started and that you finished. No one gives a penguin's=a$$ what your time is (except you will look of course). I am really really slow - like 48 min on a flat course slow. And I've gotten nothing but positive encouragement from every race I've signed up for. Give it a try you will find it is just fine! The only thing I do is carefully read the info about the race - occasionally they will post a maximum time limit because of road closures so I avoid those but otherwise they've been great. And as slow as I am (way slower than you) I was only ever the very very last once. Usually I'm in the back three though :-). Give it a try and we will all be cheering you on from here! As we like to say "Penguin Up!".
