NYRR going to Kenya?

A Kenyan man I work with has been telling me for several weeks about a major marathon in Kenya. I didn't pay much attention to him, being that I thought Kenya was always running marathons.
But today he told me that the NYC marathon is going to be run in Kenya in 2007.
That sounds absolutely ridiculous.
But I went to NYRR website just to check out his claim.
I found absolutely nothing like that.

Has anyone heard such rumors?

that's funny. They have running camps there and NYRR take trips there...

No, it wouldn't. The whole concept is preposterous. I never believed the guy, but he seemed convincing enough that I figured I would throw it up here.
I have to find this guy at work (he may not be here today) and try to figure out what he was trying to tell me.
