I just started basketball a year ago, last summer actually and i tried for my schools basketball team with absoulutly no experience and I got cut I've took this whole year to learn the game and practice so i was wondering if anyones knows anything special a coach looks for in a player?
You have probably been told this alot, but the one thing you can do is HUSTLE all the time! It doesn't matter how skilled you are, if you hustle you will get noticed. Run hard, rebound every chance you get, play solid defense and get EVERY loose ball. Hope this helps!
The poster above is 100 percent correct about hustling the whole time. I would also suggest to show that you are a team oriented player. Cheer the other guys on during conditioning drills. It seems kind of silly but be first to high five someone after they did something good. Being able to bring a positive energy to a team is a very important quality that not many people have. If you can do that, you shouldn't have any problem being noticed!
