Same here...6'2" and 235. If there's only 1 person, I'll move over, but if the whole path is blocked, I just stay to the right and keep going. I think a young lady tonight had to turn slightly sideways to miss me...it was close regardless.

Re: Runner annoyances...
uhm- how about

- fellow runners that are ahead of you and ******* constantly

- runners ahead of you that aren't wearing deodorant

but either of those are incentives to run faster...

- finding a mess of poopy clothes in the bushes (just kidding but ewww)

- having my garmin screen blank out
(durn wonky 201 - you are gonna be replaced soon)

- getting spit on by another runner "accidentally"

- running behind another runner who has sooo many gu packs in his boa pockets that every ten steps gives me half a moon and more crack than anyone oughta see outside of a strip club (wouldja call this reverse cleavage?)

that actually happened - it was hilarious and sickening at the same time
more incentive to run faster

Re: Runner annoyances...
-Running through the cobwebs first thing in the morning as you hit the trails. Although it does give you confidence that you are the first one out there.
-Not being able to run cos your sick, injured or have too much uni work.
-Walker walking 3 or 4 abreast along trails and don't move even though you yell out 'excuse me'
-the cost of running gear and entering races (yes uni students do have a limited budget

you aren't supposed to smell like flowers when you work out. why waste deodorant when it won't be effective anyway.

Re: Runner annoyances...
I've been spit on,on out and back race courses. It was an
accident but since then,I do not run anywhere near the returning runners.I almost hurled when it happened, but way
later, the guy actually apologized.I did not even recognize him.

I've been behind hard core farters.I speed up.This is hard on single track trail runs, though.

I've been behind people with extreme B.O. that leaves a wake.
I speed up.

Been behind people that suddenly, without warning, STOP.In
the center of the race course, without veering to the side.
I dodge and dart.

Was running next to an almost-nekkid guy at Marine Corps
marathon, no shirt, tiny split shorts (yep,I checked him out
from all sides). He got a phone call, while running! ("I'm running
a marathon.RUNNING A MARATHON! Can I call ya back.....")
Where the heck was his phone? It wasn't one of those tiny,
slim new ones......

It's what it is.Despite any of the seemingly negatives, I will
still offer myself up to whatever a run or race decides to reveal
to me.
