I run too some Grateful Dead. "Box of Rain" has been a staple running song for a while. Lately "Cumberland Blues" has been added.
Right this second, Funky Town done by Pseudo Echo. Gotta love that 80s synth pop. I have enjoyed running to Linkin Park and the like. However, I've only run with music a few times in the past ten years.
"City of New Orleans" - Because I visualize a steam locomotive with black smoke pouring from the stack as I start up a long hill, because I feel like my mission is to wake up all the dogs in the neighborhoods I run through in the pre-dawn hours, and because I often feel like I'll be ".. gone 500 miles when the day is done." My favorite recording is a "grassed up" version by Randy Scruggs and John Prine - priceless!
I also like "Wanted Man" by Johnny Cash

That's awesome!!! (I'm a big PJ fan, too)

How unique and diverse we all are, lol! I can't imagine running to Hey Jude, hee hee! I'm sure some of you would be scratching your heads at my choices too.
I sometimes use Mellancamp's "Hurt so Good" as the first song because that's when it hurts most, lol.
Otherwise Green Day's "Jesus of Suburbia" kills 9:08 minutes really easily, I always smile when it ends because it went so fast.
INXS "Pretty Vegas" gets me rev'd right up.
So who sings along while they run? I'm sure I look stupid but I can't stop myself from doing it.
