Wednesday 17 Aug

I did a easy 3 this morning, my legs started tired but felt great at the end.  Hard track workout night.  The attached story just made me happy and is one of the reasons I put myself thru this!

Track workout last night was good.  We did a 4.5 mile progressive tempo run 1st mile 8:15, #2 7:50, #3 7:20 and last 1.5 7:00.  Then we did 4 X400 @ 1:39, the recovery was, we ran them in lane 5 the distance from the end of the 400 to the start we walked.

I'm on the west coast, so it wasn't even 6 am yet when I read this.  What a pleasant way to wake up!  Thanks for that.  Makes me look forward to my run tonight.

I'm glad to hear I'm having some influence with my healthy habits.

I got 5 miles in today, including a bunch of hills.  I do all my hill repeats on the same hill, just all the way up for the long ones (~200 meters) and halfway for the short ones.  Today I wanted to do the longer hills but on the first one I turned around halfway and had started down before I remembered.  So I did one short and 7 long repeats.  I definitely accomplish different goals with the two lengths.  The long ones are considerably more exertion, even though done at a slower pace.
