Who cares what "some idiot" says, really? Life is no fun if your goal is to be "safe from criticism" all the time. Personally, I think it is a win-win situation -- you're healthy, you feel good about yourself, and anyone who matters also knows you look good.

Actually isn't anorexic just a state of being really thin?

Anorexia nervosa - Is different - A mental disorder and can be manifested mainly through an eating disorder, but can also include excessive exercise. The disorder is because of how the person views their body.

Although I do not believe Paula has Anorexia Nervosa - I would not make the statement that she is not anorexic. I believe her percent body fat would medically qualify.

Just my non-medical view.

Medically speaking, anorexia means lack of appetite, diminished appetite or not eating. Anorexia nervosa is exactly what you said. "Anorexic" is slang for a person with anorexia nervosa. Low body fat or being really thin is generally classified as "under weight" if appropriate. Often times, people who look really thin are actually at a healthy weight, BMI, etc.

I just wanted to clear that up.

Oh, and Doctor So Soon (or whatever she's calling herself these days) is a troll, try not to be sucked into her vortex of unhealthy eating, anorexia, psychosis...

As to whether all men are attracted to that "look", I don't think so.

From Wikipedia:

quote:

WHR is considered to be factor in judging female and male attractiveness. Women with a 0.7 WHR (waist circumference that is 70% of the hip circumference) are often rated as more attractive by men, regardless of their culture, race, religion, ethnicity or any other subjective factors. Such diverse beauty "icons" as Marilyn Monroe, Twiggy, Sophia Loren, Kate Moss, and the Venus de Milo all have ratios around 0.7 despite having significantly different weights. Consequently, there is strong evidence to suggest that from an evolutionary perspecitve humans use subtle biological cues, such as WHR, to indicate mate potential and fertility.

As far as the topic question, I think the answer is "it depends."

As far as whether the look is attractive or not, I think an Isley Brothers song says it well:

"It's your thing, do what you wanna' do/I can't tell you who to sock it to"
