Hello Everyone! I, too, am still around! I have been busy logging my exercise and food with myfitnesspal and I have to say, I LOVE IT!!! I am still walking/running... however, I do have a question.
When people talk about slow jogging, what exactly does that look like? Like most of you, I listen to music when I run/walk and I want to keep my steps with the beats per minute. I don't know if that's too fast, however, it helps me focus on my breathing and pace. I am still not running very far at one time, however, I am walking like a crazy woman! I do about 7K twice a week, and at least 4-5 K every other day. So, my workout times are between 45 minutes and an hour and 15 minutes.
I haven't given up on doing my 5K, as a matter of fact, I found one for Oct. 22nd here in my hometown that I want to do. It's about 5 weeks before the one on Thanksgiving Day that I initially signed up for. Are there many people who walk at least half of the race? Will I stick out like a sore thumb if I do? Crazy questions, but I am loving getting out either early morning or late in the evening.
I have lost about 7 lbs, and about 5 1/2 inches, so I must be doing something right!
