So, my half marathon is in 3 weeks (Oct 15). I used a training plan and altered it to fit my needs, etc.
Is it safe to run a 14 miler on Saturday? As the date approaches, I'm beginning to "doubt" my training... I think I have a fear of over training and injuring myself or wearing myself out. I ran in a half marathon about 2 weeks ago and learned that after a long run of that magnitude, there is a great need to recover for a few days. But other than that, I was fine.
I feel pretty confident about running 14 miles on Saturday, but what about next week? Should I do a long run of 8 to 10 miles or is that too much?
I really don't know what to do about these last couple of long runs.
