    100 Day Challenge

I had good excuse:  I was on the road circa 0545 in the morning to make it to location of training course I was in all last week...This week I am traveling again but should be able to get out in the mornings.  I am back in Pacific time zone for the week and thus will be awake 3+ hours early...i find it easy to get out and jog when I already am awake...

I just signed up for 5k race on 2 Oct as prep for my 10k at the end of Oct.

    100 Day Challenge

I'm a newbie to this site, I really like your concept. Great motivation to build good habits. I have been shooting for 6 days a week but I may have to step it up.

Short 2 Mile Run in 22 Min today. I will continue to post from time to time, don't hesitate to ask me if I drop out of site.

    Take Care,

    Re: 100 Day Challenge

Hello everyone - I have been working out, but unable to post when the site was messed up, then I gave up.  Anywho - welcome new ones, good to have more interaction.   I put my foot back into a shoe, and think I am finally making some progress.  I hope to be back to running next week.  Still tender toe, but doing other things.  I missed the interaction with all of you.  Best race experience and running times this weekend......

That is good - a mile is more than sitting on the couch - which I am doing right this minute....tomorrow....

Welcome to the site and do share your insights, it encourages all of us......the first mile starts with a step.

I am starting over as in August when I was really starting to work on intervals and such, building mileage and speeding up, losing some weight - I smacked my little toe into a concrete parking block and it broke.

Amazing how one little tiny toe can stop all running for over 6 weeks.

My toe looks like a little red balloon yet, but is losing the tenderness, healing up - so I am completely in awe of a mile....I have not done that for a long, long time.....

    Re: 100 Day Challenge

Way to Go PL!!  That is really tremendous - 9 min pace.   Your running coach, PT, interval training have just paid off in huge rewards.

I am not rushing this now.  I have put my foot in a shoe and it still hurts, it is getting better, but I do not want to go through again, so being patient.  I ordered a new Brooks Glycerin and not wide enough, so those go back.  I think I am going to just go to a running shoe store and get the right fit.  Still doing other stuff, interval, stair stepper where my foot stays still.....
