The only opportunity I--[and others at the game]--had to view an ump's underwear he had split his pants while in a crouch.
Pity the poor volunteer umps as to choosing what color to wear. ![]()

On a more serious note, when I did Kutno last year, our deputy chief umpire for the tournament, Jason, was bound to do the Midwest Regionals. In fact, he did the plate for the championship game.
During the tournament, he arranged to have his team wear pink umpire shirts with the breast cancer awareness ribbon right below the Little League patch.
Jason umpired Little League with his aunt who--during the Regionals--was in the hospital with breast cancer. His gesture was a tribute to his aunt, and ESPN made a very nice news story of it as they covered the Midwest Championship.
I'd wear a pink shirt, as some of the profits go to the Amercian Cancer Society.

I am 100% against anyone having breast cancer. And a great place to donate is the American Cancer Society. I would wear a pink shirt to bring awareness to Breast Cancer, but without going into any detail here, I would not support, in any way, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
