$75,000 Rider Sandals Big Shot Volleyball Series Comes to Siesta Key

Hosted by Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureau

Time:

                 8 am to 6 pm Saturday for Men's & Women's Open, A,& B Divisions

                     9 am to 6 pm Sunday for CoedOpen, A, & B, & Men's AA & B Divisions

                     Playoffs 4-6 pm each day

Cost:       Free for spectators, $60/team

Prizes:   $5,000 total in the Open Divisionsplus additional prizes from 4C Totally light 2Go, Corona Light, Spalding, RiderSandals, Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau, Rox Volleyball, Bally’sCasino, Zem Booties, 1st Place Volleyball, SOB Volleyball Vacations, SweetTomatoes, Park & Sun net systems, Dig Magazine, Sportime, Horry County,Spike Key, Sarasota County Parks Dept., and Siesta Key Holiday Inn Express willbe awarded in the A and B Divisions.

The Rider Sandals Big Shot VolleyballSeries, presented by Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau, will return to SiestaKey on October 15-16. Teams from throughout the country will compete for $2,500cash prizes. Tournament play will start at 9 am with finals scheduled for 5 pm each day. Admission is free for all spectators.  The Sarasota County Visitors andConvention Bureau is sponsoring the Siesta Key tournament in conjunction withGold Coast Eagle Distributor’s, Corona Light and the Siesta key Holiday innExpress. Over 250 teams from 20 states and Canada are expected.

 

The Big Shot Volleyball Series held 30events leading to the Aug. 28-29 $8,000 Big Shot Championships at Bally’sCasino in Atlantic City, NJ and the $5,000 Volley America  Nationals Oct. 22-23 in Clearwater Beach. TheSiesta Key event will be the last qualification event before the Nationals. Separate divisions will be held forplayers of intermediate and novice levels on Saturday and Sunday. The $60 entryfee entitles players to a full day of tournament play, an official RiderSandals Big Shot Volleyball t-shirt, admission to the Saturday evening player’sparty at The Boatyard Grill and a chance to win merchandise prizes fromtournament sponsors 4C Totally light 2Go, Corona Light, Spalding, RiderSandals, Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau, Rox Volleyball, Bally’sCasino, Zem Booties, 1st Place Volleyball, SOB Volleyball Vacations, SweetTomatoes, Park & Sun net systems, Dig Magazine, Sportime, Horry County,Spike Key, Sarasota County Parks Dept., and Siesta Key Holiday Inn Express.
