I have noted the morning prerace eating thread. I know what works for me when I run in the morning. However, I am training for an 11k race that begins at 5:00 pm. I've been doing some night runs but I notice that it is more difficult to run in the evening than in the morning. I wonder if it is what I eat during the day that may be making the difference. I pretty much eat the same types of food - salads at lunch with some type of protein (chicken, salmon, etc.), greek yogurt with blueberries, an apple, some raw nuts, tricuits with string cheese. What should I take out of my diet or put into my diet during the day so that I feel race ready on the day of? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
