The most natural sports gel

Hi fellow healthy runners!  Just curious, with all the different energy gels out there, which one do you thinkk contains the most natural ingredients?  Is it Carb Boom, Hammer gel?

Who mixes their own formula and what is the best way to store it?  I am inclined to do that except the store-bought variety is so neatly packaged and convenient.

It depends on what you consider to be more natural ingrediants. However, this energy gel comparison chart from Great Race Nutrition will probably help!

AndeeS Hammers web site has tons of great info. It claims Hammer gel is made from fruit and ALL natural ingredients. I use it all the time. Thier is really a noticeable difference in my opinion. Buy the jug and carry a flask.

AndeeS - I'm just curious where your research led you on this.  I've been wondering the same and just stumbled on your post.

I've been avoiding the gels because they seem to have so much artificial stuff, but based on my history of bonking I think something during the race would be helpful.  On the Great Race Nutrition website, I saw something about honey based gels.  Did you look at those?

    Thanks for any feedback.
