Good Morning,
We have been working a lot with our team on Explosive power and Explosive speed. That has generated a lot of discussion over which is more important to a baseball player that is swinging, hitting, throwing, running, stealing etc. Which do you think is the most important addition to your aresenal? I would love to hear some thoughts. Have a great day.

power numbers only occur at best 3 out of 10 times. Speed applies 10 out of 10 times. I'd go with speed.
I always look at a combination of speed and power. I know that might be selfish but in recruiting it certainly is a plus. TM
It is good to hear someone else say what I always think. I agree that SPEED is a huge factor. but when it comes to a perfect world and a perfect athlete I would be honored to have a player that's got it all. This has led me to lean more towards explosive exercises and training with natural body weight and range of motion as opposed to weight lifting. I have found that kind of training really lends to the addition of both explosive speed and power as opposed to weight training. Thanks a lot for the input.

You want to always be working on improving every aspect of a player's game. In high school a lot more bases are taken on speed versus power. With the incorporation of BBCOR bats there's an emphasis on recruiting speed in college ball.

Note: regardless of several attempts to make my chat name TG it reverts back to the faux email name I created. Good 'ole Eteamz/Active. Nothing has changed in terms of the quality of the product.
