I am looking for a 2012 Boston Marathon bib. I just ran my first marathon (Air Force Marathon 3:56hr) and want to run more! I am an Air Force officer stationed in MA and I am willing to pay for a bib. Thank you!
Scalping Boston Marathon Bibs? Do they allow such a thing? I'm more than slightly offended if they allow horse trading bibs when the majority of the running population is doing their damndest to qualify. Not to mention all those who qualified and didn't make the cut.
I live 20 minutes from the start line -- and people always say "Just jump in! Others do it!"
Part of the point of running that race is the qualification. Jumping in is stealing from those who earned the right to be there.
Many charities have bibs available, of course there is a fundraising requirement. You can check out groups like buildOn or search for other groups who are accepting applications.
Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center has two bibs thanks to the John Hancock Non-Profit Marathon Program. Please find at this link more information and the application due Dec. 9th: http://www.bcnc.net/images/bcnc_marathon_application_2012.pdf
