HI all,
there are 3 days left until race day... I am planning to run a 6k trail race on Sunday. So far so good, but today during a practice run I fell :-( I landed on my knees and my hands... it seems that I was lucky and there is no 'real' injury, but I am afraid that pain will kick in tomorrow. I absolutely want to run the race on Sunday! Let's hope I was lucky and scraped knees and burning hands are all I got... but in case my knees are in pain tomorrow - any advice what to do in order to be able to run on Sunday? I feel so frustrated right now :-(((
Thanks for any input/advice!

I am old and my last trail race I fell 2 times and I was okay. Ice and rest would be all you could do, but I think you will be fine!
Maybe consider a knee brace if it just a situation where you need some additional support, but I do not think they would prevent any stress-related injuries, so just take it easy and see how you feel in the next few days.
Best of Luck!
After lots of rest and ice If you think you'll be ok to run. I would suggest K Tape (kinesio tape). Great online video show s how to tape your knee. If might give you the extra support you need. I used it before and have had great results. Hope you'll be OK

BOSNPM, Jasko 123, Webpro11,
thanks for your answers! It turned out my knee hurts a bit, but not too badly though. Sometimes I can feel it (when bending it or when walking stairs), sometimes not at all. I am trying to rest it a bit - meaning I am not running until race day and hopefully it will be better by Sunday. I will look up the tape and might get a knee brace. This will be my first race in a long time and my very first trail race. I am so super excited about it and absolutely want to run, no matter what!
