I coach a 12 yr old AAU team. Our league plays primary a 2-3 and 3-2 zone - we don't really see a lot of man. My best player is probably one of the tallest in the league. However my issue with him is how to play him. He has a great mid-range shot for a guy his height and age. His handle is a bit questionable and has no back to the backet type of game. What type of offense can I run using him as the main set. I don't really have a true point guard but do have a quick team. I've tried the 1-3-1 but he's not really comfortable at the foul line
i would try and isolate him on the block if he is the tallest........try and see if he is comforrtable with running the pick and roll.....maybe try screening him with the other man down low when you swing the ball on top...hope i helped and let us know how it goes
