beginning tri training in Chicago?

I am currently registered for a sprint distance tri in October in California (I live in the burbs of Chicago).

Does anyone know of a good training program that hasn't already started? Most of the group programs are catered to the timing of the Accenture Triathlon, and I missed the beginning.

I am a true beginner and think that a structured program would be best - especially since I am a weak swimmer and a really slow runner. I am currently enrolled in a swim class at my local park district just to get me back to the basics and in the water, but I will probably need more assistance then that.

Will you be swimming in the Ocean or a lake?
I am helping a friend swim at foster beach, Chicago. Which is a good place for begineers. If you can walk in the water you may want to walk part and swim some. You can find some online programs and the YMCA has Tri programs too. good look!

Chicagoamber - I am doing my first sprint try this coming weekend in IN. I got a book called "Triathlon Training Basics by Gale Bernhardt. IT is a really good book and has plans for sprint and olympic distance. There are four total plans in all, one for unfit and one for fit for each distance.
