BTW: I have a t-shirt that says "Exit 0"

You might to take another look at that ... I believe it says "Mile 0." I see many cars on the Parkway with a sticker of that to go with the CM oval.

There is an Exit 0 on Rt 72 where it meets the Parkway at Parkway Exit 63 - E-LBI / W-Lebanon State Forest.

I'm guessing you use Exit 38 to catch the AC Expressway?

Re: BEER
Just had my job interview. I will be offered this job, and I will take it. I'll have to travel a bit, locally, which works for me. My goal is to not be a fatbutted office blob when I grow up. It's a large local med practice. You can get 3 incentivized bonuses a year, plus annual raises. I like money. I began collecting it recently......

Hash weekend......WOW. Lots of running, drinking, "outfits", feats of alcoholic athleticism (I can run pretty far after drinking an ice cube tray of cherry vodka, with a balloon between my knees, it was discovered...), gifts, pacts with the devil, and dancing. My liver hurts! We did just a 6 mile trail, but the elevation changes, and "down downs" made it harder, as did the frigid creek crossings. The hashers are genuinely good people.

Nice Zen invocations, randymar. Am into zen.

Re: BEER
Boddington's is the most disgusting beer ever. Guess I am not at all suited to those giant cans of dark, nasty-headed beer. Smithwick's tasted like beer that had been strained through my creek-wet socks. Molson's gives a headache that I wish I could inflict at will on others.

These have been random beer thoughts from the weekend.

Re: BEER
First off, congrats T(o)B! Hope it works out for you job-wise.

Those canned english pub beers are a big disappointment for me too. They taste absolutely wonderful on tap, especially with the N2 gas mixed in. But thats it; cans are yuckko stinky widgitized brew thingies.

Yes, today I am, thank you.

First of all, do you know what a Seussifier is??? Because, if you don't, explaining the Gibson switch or the Kramer filter is a bit of a waste of time.

No disrespect intended.

Re: BEER
You won't find it in Wikipedia.

It's first appearance was December 4, 2002, during a discussion as to whether Anchor Christmas Ale had actual pine needles in it.

See! See!
It's not just me!
You can make beer from a Christmas tree!!!

****, I got the Seuss-ify-er on again.

It has also been deployed as and Anti-Haiku device:

You Gotta get yourself a Seussifier.
Your rhyming will be at least two levels higher.

The Gibson Switch and Kramer Filter are new features meant to ensure that it is not used to create derogatory rhymes against any faith or race.

It's all for fun.

quote:
B:AC, p. 469

A happy young woman who comes to our pub.
A very friendly girl, Camilla Trub.
She's medium tall, but not very thin.
She has a sort of "beauty within."
A man buys her pints; she gives him a smile.
Sometimes the two disappear for a while.
For some reason, though, she's hard to be found
When the gentleman's wife comes around.

Seussifier: On

It was MikeMills's idea to take the hyphens out.

A good call, I think.

Re: BEER
Now that you're all up to speed
You can see that The Seussifier
Is a wonderful thing indeed.

Every home and office
Should have one or two or nine.
You'll have to build your own, though.
I can't part with mine.

Re: BEER
The Queen of Sinful Sots is back at the library! Have another job go-see tomorrow. Life is getting very interesting!!
Hope ya feel better, randymar. Yikes! I had the flu at Christmas for maybe 5 straight years and it was awful. My holiday memories are very weird for that time frame.

No snow here. The usual idiots that whine about it are whining about its absence. Some people are impossible to please.
