Yeah....I am. At 46yrs old, I'm gonna start jogging with a goal of running 5K's by this summer. I haven't jogged since leaveing the military in 2000.

I'm starting back in January 2012. I started the C25K program over the fall and quit at week 6 because it got cold. Now I have a treadmill (ugh, hate it), but going to give it a go again.

    Started Couch to 5K (C25K) on 8/1/2011

Started C25K again around 10/5/11...stopped at week 6.

Me too! I'm 30 and haven't run since I was forced to do so in high school gym class.

    Anyone wanna buddy up?

Yes, I'm planning to start next week.  I'm 46 and haven't run in over 15 years.  Time and weight are catching up with me so I need to do something serious about it.

Yes, definitely! I've tried and quite C25K a few times in the past. I finally stuck with a marathon training program and completed my first half marathon this month using a 4min run/1min walk approach. But I really want to build up to running non-stop and use C25K for my weekly training. I'm hoping to use what I've learned from my past "failures" with the program and really keep with it this time!

I would love to be able to run a 5k. Never been a runner and with my 50th birthday in January, I want to get in shape.

I haven't run a marathon in 10 years..   2012 will change that beginning with the March 17 Rock and Roll marathon in Washington DC.

Yes!  Count me in too.  I start the program last spring but fell to the wayside at week 5.  I am ready to get back to work and keep it moving!  I am 44 and have never been  runner in my life so its slow and steady for me.  Good luck eveyone!!  And Happy New Year too!!

Yes, I am ready to start running. Would like to run my first 5K this year with my husband. I am 55 years old and never really liked running. Going to give it a shot!

YES this is the year I WILL start running, my exercise program right now is good, even though I have been slacking off since the holidays, but this is the year I get out of the basement and start enjoying the weather and all that comes with it!

Did W1D1 today. Thought it would be easy since I've been training 4:1 on Saturday mornings, but I was definitely feeling the two weeks of running I've missed. Felt great afterwards though, so glad I did it. Good luck to everyone else starting this week!

I'm In!!!  I'm a firm believer in the couch-to-5K ... I did it way back in 2001 and was committed to running and working out for four years .with countless 5Ks under my belt, Falmouth Road Race 4 times, 4 half marathons, a Tri-athlon, and I even ran/walked the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk ... .. but Life Happens w/four kids and everythign that goes with that! ... I've tried to get back to it, seriously, over the years, but for one reason or another I haven't been able to stick with it!! ((one major reason was a head-on car crash in 2009 that left me bed-bound for three months and a broken fibia, and shattered knee cap ...) .. but I'm all fixed up now and ready to go!!!! Today, Week 1, Day 1!!  This program really really works .. it doesn't just happen, it takes commitment!!! ... so Let's do This!!!
