Strange race mascots

There's a 4-miler in my area that bills itself as the only professionally-timed race where you can chase a running toilet.

The Turkey Trot I did this year had, in addition to the turkey, a tiki log.

What's the weirdest or most interesting race mascot you've encountered?

A Christmas tree ran in a race I was in a couple weeks ago. The sad part is that the tree beat me. I protested when he (it) passed me, but he stated that "I pass trees all the time and it is only fair that a tree pass me". Good logic, I guess....

Oh, I have been outrun by the Great Pumpkin, all of the Fruit of Loom men, a life-size banana, count-dracula in a full cape and raggedy-ann in high heels..true stories, mostly due to Halloween events known as Boos and Brews.  All runners in costumes, not sure about the official mascot, but I was betting on the giant Krispy Kreme donut!

I liked the "Cookie Chaser" 5K in our area, a race organized by the local branch of the Girl Scouts and held just after all the cookies are delivered. There's one man and one woman in a giant cookie outfit, and if you beat the cookie you get a special prize!

The centipedes in the San Francisco Bay to Breakers 12K.   http://zazzlebaytobreakers.com/index.php?page=centipedes

Unfortunately I moved from the Bay Area many years ago, so I no longer do that race regularly, but the centipedes are in a class by themselves!
