Barefoot Running Transition Program

I am a massage therapist and personal trainer in Austin, TX. I specialize in the treatment and prevention of chronic pain and injury. I am an advocate of a barefoot lifestyle to promote a healthy posture with less chronic pain and injury over a lifetime. Below are a couple of articles I wrote with programs instructing how to slowly transition to barefoot or minimalist walking and running. I also included a self treatment for plantar fasciitis. Feel free to share if you find them helpful.

Thank you.
wow... This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I plan on venturing into the minimalist shoe running culture after my Half in March and THIS is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you so much for posting. I'm bookmarking these links!
Hi Wildfreightless,
Great to hear. Thanks. Feel free to passit on. Good luck. I would love to hear how your transition goes.

Hi JJ, I haven't read the articles yet, but am going to as soon as I have a few minutes off from kids. However, I thought you might float your articles by my peeps over at the Barefoot Runners Society. They have an awesome body of collective experience and are committed to advancing the BF and natural running style and encouraging anyone who's interested.
For myself it's like hearsay - my transition was from "couch" as in zero running, to BFR and started 22 months ago. I just read everything I could find on the web and went out to find a place to run. It went ... interestingly. My first runs were on a trail biker's trail and included lots of varieties of surfaces. Sand, gravel, roots, crushed stone, packed dirt and twiggy mulch. I look back on those runs with great fondness, but think I probably would have benefitted from the sort of info you've put into your writng.

Thanks JosephTree,
Thanks for the comment. I did post this with BRS, although not on their forum. Also, I responded to you comments via my website. Thanks again.
