Re: Green Tea
I drink a couple cups of green tea almost every day. I cut out caffeine the beginning of the year and replaced my daily latte's and coffee with green tea. I allow myself one day a week for a latte (wednesdays so I have something to look forward to mid-week!) and after about one week of cutting out caffeine, I felt SO much better. I can't even explain - I just had a natural energy, my mind felt more alert all day, I felt like I had better clarity and yes, it works to jump start weight loss as well. The first month I did this I lost 8 lbs. I was also eating healthier and exercising, but I am sure that the green tea also accelerated that initial weight loss.

Re: Green Tea
I've been drinking it for almost a year and I believe it has helped boost my metabolism. I've lost nearly 20 pounds since this time last year, but most of that is from better eating (not less, just better), running and lifting. The green tea has some role in the weight loss, but how much is difficult to guess.

It does have some caffeine (about half of regular black tea and far less than coffee). It also has lots of antioxidants which help with muscle recovery. I basically take 4 green tea bags and make a pitcher of iced green tea. Add a bit of lemon and drink throughout the day. Think of it as a non-calorie energy drink.

Re: Green Tea
I drink green tea almost every day at work. I like it. Whether or not it helps my metabolism is still unclear, but I'll drink it and hope it does
