Finished week 2 of C25K. I don't know how far I went, but did what the podcast directed me to do. 5 minute walk, 90 second plod, 2 minute walk for 6 cycles and then 5 minutes of walking at the end. I would estimate I was traveled something over 100 yards and something less than 100 miles.
After not running since last thursday, due to a horrible case of POSION IVY (in february) I ran 3 miles at the Riverpark this evening with my running buddy. We ran in the dark-- its a lighted path with our flashlights and headlamps, there were a few other brave souls out, it felt great.
Oh and I registered for the half "bearathon" that I am going to run with my daughter, I have my airline ticket .....It's made it real..........
Still in PHX so ran on a desert mt trail: 10.3 miles! YAY!! Steady incline up the mt but didn't stop .......... ran 1 mile, walk 1 minute until 8 miles, ran until I reached 10.3 ........ great workout!!
First run since last Friday. Been exhausted from shoveling out from 18 inches of wet, heavy snow, and the stress at work has me just fried. I played hooky today, and thought a 5 miler might make me feel a bit better. Ran across snow (packed and loose), a little pavement, a little mud. Snow runs are a great workout at a slower pace, and a reduced injury risk. I highly recommend them.
I ran in the Cupids Chase 5k this morning, 29 degrees with snow flurries, now I know some of you guys run in snow, packed on the road all the time........we do not! About a mile in, I could finally feel my toes, and the end of the race, the coffee was lukewarm, but it was warm...... got a t-shirt that says I'm UNAVAILABLE....how cute..... we were going to do another 7 or 8 miles, but decided we will run tomarrow afternoon.
You're right, ItsLinda, we brag about frozen toes . I wear 2 pair of thin socks, it keeps my feet warmer than 1 thick one.
I did 82 minutes cross country through the snow today; 20 deg and sunny. Banzai blasts downhill! What a fun afternoon.
Long run today in south St Louis, a little chilly (low 20's) and some wind; but oince I got going, it was nice. 14.5 miles in 2:15, the longest and farthest I have ever run at one time in my life!

10 miles this afternoon, was much warmer today than yesterday morning. We started out to do 5 miles straight and 5miles, 3 run 1 walk, ended up running the entire 10..... it felt great.
3 or so miles this morning. I got a new pair of shoes, New Balance MT 101. Tried them out this morning on the trails and really like them! I just wish the weather would warm up. I'm tired of cold and dark. I keep telling myself how beautiful is the snow in moonlight...but at the end of the day it's still cold and dark
