MCM Registration

Registration opens 7 March at 3PM not the usual 12Noon per the MCM Newsletter.  They are also offering the Runners World Challenge for MCM this year.  Hope to see everyone there.

Chris

I'm not slow, I'm rear security.

Thoroughbreds run fast and finish early.  Clydesdales run slow and pull beer wagons.  I'll be a Clydesdale.

Unless you're a Runners Club member. Then it's March 14th, at noon.

I will be registering this time frame next week.  Active Duty gets in on the 23rd noon EST complete with a 15% discount.  I am so stoked that this years race will be one I can consider a local race.

Great!  You going to be teaching/pushing OCS students?

I will not be working with the new LTs.  I will be working at the air facility out that way.  Chris I am going to be in your neck of the woods.  It will make it easier to share a beer every now and again.  I need to find a good place to live.  Any recommendations. A commute is not terrible but would like to limit it to 30-45 minutes on average days.  Fredricksburgh to Woodbridge are the ideal place.

    Tomorrow is the BIG day.

My schedule next fall is still in muddy water. But with the Runner's Club membership I have time to let things shake out.

I just registered too!  Not my first marathon but my first MCM (Ex Marine myself).

Quick question, since I got my email confirmation of the registeration, does that mean I am guarantee running this marathon??

    Re: MCM Registration
QUANTICO, VA (March 7, 2012) – Marking the fastest sellout in the history of marathon events, the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) has sold 30,000 available online entries in 2 hours, 41 minutes, besting the previous registration record of eight hours for the 2011 Boston Marathon. As the MCM opened registration today at 3 p.m. EST, runners registered in a fervent pace with more than 15,948 runners securing their spots in just the first hour.

According to RunningUSA, today’s registration sellout of the 37th MCM is historically the fastest among all U.S. marathons events.
