This is now the second time I'm trying return to being active. I have to say that I'm amazed by how quickly my body has adjusted on these return attempts--it has been much easier, so far, than when I frst started C25K after more than a decade of being largely inactive.
My first surprise was my initial pushup test for the 100 pushup challenge. I completed twelve (12), when I only completed six (6) on my first try. Then there's running. While I didn't officially restart C25K, I did spend some time on the treadmil, and was able to run at 6 mph after the first moment or two, and I finished the final minute at 7 mph. No real complaints from the body, either. I can tell I don't have the same level of wind I had before, but I'm not complaining. That will come back over time.
My blood sugars have taken a complete 180 over the past week, too, and that's a good thing.
Anyway, I need to get back to work. I don't have as much time to check in here as I once did, but I will try to do so periodically.
Keep up the good work, folks. I hope to someday start a thread for "Former 200+ Club Members".
