protein shakes for teenagers

does anyone know anything about teenagers drinking protein shakes to help ease symptoms of gastrointestinal syndromes?

or just teens drinking them at all?

I would think that protein shakes would make GI symptoms worse because of the ingredients. They give "normal" people GI symptoms frequently.

As far as a teen without GI symptoms, I do not see why one protein shake for breakfast would not be bad.

I drank protein shakes and weight gainers all the time when I was in High School. I never had any problems.

I don't know about just teens...but L-Glutamine is utilized by the intestines and supplementing aids in reconstruction of the gut lining.
