I just wanted to say this.... I started running about 14 months ago. I did the C25K and progressed from there. I've been in 5 races and placed twice in my age group (I'm 57). But so far, the very best thing that running has done for me is given me the confidence and belief in myself that I can do anything.
Yesterday, I went SKY DIVING!!!!!!! It was utterly and terrifingly thrilling and yes, I will do it again!
That is thanks to running and the mind set you get that you CAN do whatever your mind wants you to!! I just love that about running. I confess, I do not love the actual running part, but all the things that it does for me mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.....those are the things I love.
So, keep on running, folks! It doesn't matter if you are fast. It doesn't matter how far you go. Just believe in yourself and run . . . and maybe try sky diving!
