13 Mar - Tuesday

2.5 miles - 10 x 0.25 miles -- though it looks like I was doing speed-work -- this was not a speed workout.

I ran on the track just to do somthing different.

Took yesterday off, and after a lot of thought, decided to give my sinuses another day to clear.  So no run today, even though the weasther was beautiful.

Ran myself some intervals.  I started with a warm-up half followed by 400, 800, 1200 all with a quarter mile in between.   then ran another half mile followed by 1200, 800, 400 with  quarter mile between.  Totled 5 miles in 34:23!  It was one of the hardest workouts I have done in a while.

    This place is like home!!!!

Yeah, Len, everyone I know over 30 in the NE is suffering from allergies right now.

6 easy ones here, despite the pollen.

Pollen is out in full force here!  Race week kind of a easy week, 40 mins on trails easy.  Son's Baseball game after, they are good this year!

Hi everyone. Just dropped in to see what's been going on here. So glad to see so many of you are still running strong! So happy that you are still here encouraging and supporting each other.

Well...i haven't been able to run for a few months now (4-6 mo.). I guess this stupid brain tumor has taken more out of me than I thought. The brain tumor is shrinking and my eyesight is dramatically better than a year ago, but I have a lot more healing to do. I have been newly diagnosed with a thyroid problem. The doctor said it makes you "exercise intolerant." This is so weird since I was running during my radiation treatments and also trained and completed another MCM 1/2. I'm hoping and praying for more miracles. I've seen sooo many. I know I will run again...hopefully soon. In the meantime, keep on running strong. It is a gift!

    Love you all!

    Ruby

It's great to hear from you Ruby. I drop in and read your blog from time to time and it's good to read of your progress. You may or may not know that the Firecat is minus a thyroid and probably can relate to your "exercise intolerance".
