Hope to see you there!
Will parents be able to watch evaluations like you can at Tier 1
I believe the plan is to remove the window coverings this year so parents can watch. They won't be allowed into the rink, but can view from the lobby.
That's a good plan finally. Will all players have to eval? Or are most teams already set beforehand like some other clubs do
Always backroom/board room choices within this club, why would it change. Just about the $
I, at one time, believed this could be true, so instead of making negative comments in public forums anonymously, I decided to do something about it and joined the board myself. Everyone on the board at the Ducks volunteer their time to support a sport they are passionate about - most of them don't even have kids that play in the program any longer - and have nothing to gain from "back-room deals". As far as making $, we are a non-profit organization -- so I'm not sure what that comment was directed at.
All players should attend evaluations -- if you will be on vacation or if your child is unavailable during the scheduled dates/times, I would encourage you to talk to Burt Palmer (Board Co-President) to discuss your options. If you have any questions at all regarding the evaluation process, I would also recommend you speak to one of the board members to get them answered - we'll all be available this week and next at the Pond - or you can reach us through e-mail (you can find our e-mail addresses on our website under "Board" www.eteamz.com/delducks)
Odd that people with no kids involved on teams are on a hockey board but yet you leave out that they are all friends with the board members who have kids playing. That's even more puzzling. And ask to see a tax return from the club and we can then debate the non profit part in anonymous public way like you did in these 2 paragraphs with Blueline. The $ part I would think was directed to the rink(The Pond) part of things relating to the # teams within the club and how that number has gone down.
Duxx, thanks for the support but I can handle my own anonymous suggestions from Ducks_99. The back room deals regarding players and evaluations has been going on for awhile and your ex coach was right in the middle of that. How did one group(99's) at the Ducks stay together for 4 years and other birth years were broken up even after having successful seasons due to eval rules and skill levels. And then when your group is ready to move up to Bantam with checking and with a group with not much size the coach leaves for AAA and takes 3 players with him. This after being allowed to coach at Nationals Not odd to you? Ask the 94's,95's,96's and 97's if this was done for them and were allowed a 4 year run at any point in their Ducks careers.UH NO!!!You might want to check your info before responding on here. Have fun at evals and gazing through hallway windows but yet when at Aston, Iceline, etc for AAA tryouts anyone can watch any age group in the rink if they so choose.
