I occasionally get huge headaches when swimming. It does not seem to happen everytime. I thought it was my goggles, but I have moved them around, maybe the swim cap, but what can I do about that. Any ideas what this can be and what to do about it? Thanks guys!
I think you need to drink water during your swim. I had headaches all the time when I swam becase I did not drink enough. After I started to drink and bring water to practice my headaches stopped. If you are drinking water already maybe your not drinking enough water or gatorade.
I swim three times a week and only experience headaches when severly tired and thirsty - as the other posters say try to keep hydrated.
I work as a journalism intern for a small newspaper and general press company, finish my undergraduate studies in 2013. Try to keep fit and not give into the student lifestyle!
It is possible to get a headache in swimming. The way to get rid of it before it gets too bad is to take off your cap and goggles. And if that doesn't work, put pressure on the bridge of your nose or on the sides. Also, if you put pressure on your temples, that helps, too. Just not too much to where it hurts.
