This was a low key event. It was the first time for this race director and it went well for the 30 or so runners that showed up at 6:45 in the morning. I was glad for the early start time since I had to be at work at 9 am. The course was challenging with an uphill finish. There were a lot of turns at the beginning which were marked with chalk on the road. There was a long flat fairly straight stretch from about mile 1.7 to 2.7 or so. That was nice, but then you had to go up hill for about the last 4 tenths to the finish. Age group winners got something from Subway. There were 10 year age groups and first place got the award. There were two water stops and a bottle of water at the finish. The start line was a little hard to find but once there there was plenty of parking. I expect this event to grow each year. I'll be back if it repeats next year.
