Well organized. Well supported. Fun family time. A "big-city" event in a small, friendly town.
Nicely done. More aid stations than I have seen in any race. The rural course is attractive with gently rolling hills. The roads were evidently closed, which was a nice plus.
Very well supported out on the course.
Very well organized. Great post race goodies.
nice event, well organized. good fan support. plenty of supportive volunteers.
The event is well organized. The course is very scenic and well mapped out. It is just a good course overall! I enjoyed running the 8K this year. I do believe the packet pick up I prefer was the one in 2011 inside one of the 4-H buildings. The packet pick up in the tent for this year was not big enough. Very crowded.
Very well organized. While this was only my first half, I couldn't believe the number of stations they had. Beautiful course.
This was such a great event. I drove in from Cincinnati and stayed the night before in Evansville. Everything was so well organized! The goody bag in the hotel room was a nice surpirse as well. I was really impressed with how efficent the whole event was. And its true about the large number of water/Gu stations. Nice job!
The SIC appears to have come of age. Many of previous problems have been rectified -- ample water and volunteers. The course is challenging but fun. I was pleased with the overall experience.
One thing to work on is packet pick-up; it did not go as well as in the past. The tent was too cramped.
very well organized, the rural setting was refreshing.
I ran the 8k (first time ever running in an event like this). I thought that the course had a good mix of hills, flats and downhills. Closing off traffic was appropriate and made the course safer, too. Good amount of volunteers and water stations.
I thought the event itself went well and liked the bike support and water stations on the marathon course they were great. I would suggest the SIC Team look into some better hardware for the finishers. I was disappointed in the hardware and ribbon, both very plain.
My hats off to the organizers of this race. Very well supported. Great volunteers. Post race party is excellent. Great race discounts offered making it very affordable. The shirt was an average cotton and the medal was a little small, but the public support and event organizaters get a big kudo's for a job well done. One things that kind of bugged me that maybe can be corrected next year. I think the starting corral should have entrances on the side and not from the start line to back. It got conjested going through from front to back and I couldn't get back to my correct starting time corral. I started with the faster runners. Other than that. Great job. Rural streets, nothing spectacular in line for scenery, but still a good very good run. Huge Plus*** Even with a little rain, the water stations were stocked. Most every one had GU packets or liquid GU in additon to gatorade and water. Some even had oranges and bananas. Recommended. I drove in from Indianapolis. My five stars are for a mid sized race with great potential. If the course was a little more interesting, with the same organizers, this race could be a spectacular.
The race was great!!! Well planned! Water stations were fantastic. Only complaint was our pacer.... Other than that it was an amazing course/ race!!!!
