Good morning everyone- got up this morning, and of course it was yucky outside, no excuses though- got up took son to school, went to the gym ran 2 miles on treadmill, then went and ran a mile on the road in the yuck!!!! Got an appointment with orthopedic surgeon next Monday- not sure what's going on with knee- its locking up, swelling, and sometimes painful. It feels like it did when I torn my meniscus a few years back. Good run though. Taking it easy. I don't like taking it easy though!!!!!! I would rather take it easy now, than to really screw something up and not be able to run Life without Limits half and the St. Judes half. Fixin to try to run a 4 miler in two weeks as long as its ok with the ortho.
Walked 1.5 this morning before work and 5 this evening after work,carrying two 7lb. hand weights to add a little extra oof !! Will run tomorrow and see if I can pick some speed back up.Gettin' ready for the 5k Swamp Stomp this Saturday!
Just got home from running the 5k Swamp Stomp, finished in 27:10, new PR for me!!! Little more than 3mins.better than last 5k!! Hope everyone has a great running day today.God Bless Ya'll.(Hab.3:19,NIV).
Yes, I did, didn't log it thought. It was nice and cool. Took a week off, due to pain in my knee. I'm cautious, but have to get back on track.
I'm getting ready for the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, on the 4th of July.
4 miles today -Issy;s Race for Life 4 miler in Lynchburg, Va. I walked entire way 51:43 - this was first timed event since knee injury has side lined me from jogging /running. I resisted temptation to run or jog at all as I am easing back into running after this injury.
So far so good - I'll see how it feels tomorrow.

Hi, I'm new! (Was on another forum, but it's being overtaken by SPAM, so I've moved on!)
NO run today, but I'm going out on a bike ride around the city, so I'll get my legs going. I'll also likely take my dog for a long walk this evening, as long as it's not pouring (she's a weeny about rain!) Tomorrow I'll tackle C25k Week 3, Run 3.
