I must say when I first started my weight loss challenge I was very timid. It took me 6 months to go to a class. I used to hide at the back, not want to workout because people would think I was fat. I started personal training and it has helped immensely. I've lost 20kgs to date (44 lbs) and I'm still on my way to losing more.
I moved to London and I hired a personal trainer here. By far the best one I've met to date. Not only do I get great training sessions and nutritional tips, my trainer goes above and beyond in his spare time to accomodate me. I send him a barrage of e-mails/texts/facebook and twitter messages and I always get a prompt response whereby he has undertaken thorough research to answer my questions.
I would highly recommend personal training to any one starting out. For one we need that push/motivation and support to get going. Secondly you get 1-2-1 attention that really helps you develop your technique and exercising capabilities.
I know not all of you are in London but he does have a FB page with tips and hints that you are more than welcome to like: https://www.facebook.com/pages/myfitnesspro/228162910565015
