I had a great time. The race started on time they had enough water bottles and after food to go around. The packet pickup was easy. MY only complaint is that I only saw a mile marker for market 4. The race was not that packet so I am assuming I did not miss the first three. I also like it when they have the times at the mile markers as well- but its not nessisary. Overall good race have done it before and will probably do it again. It a great was to run that course since its much less crowded then the st patty day and jingle all the way.
Great race, Great cause and well organized
I thought the event was very inspiring and very well organized. Great cause, great people, great weather, loved it. Very inspiring MC to cheer us all on. Loved the event - would highly recommend to other runners. 8k was a beautiful route around the Capitol.
I thought the event was awesome and well run! Kudos to the organization for putting this race together to bring awarness to their cause!
The race was great and well put together. I agree with the other reviewer about the mile markers: I only saw one. I wish there were others. Or if there were others, I wish they were easier to see.
I fully enjoyed myself. There was a great crowd, we started ontime and there were plenty of snack :). The only complaint I have is not seeing the mile markers. I was told by a group member that there was a marker at mile 4, but i did not see any at all. I would have liked to see markers at each mile. This race is for a great cause and I look forward to doing this race again next year.
The cause is among the worthiest I have ever seen, and that helped drive my legs! Still, it's the little things that make a good race great, and I was very pleased with the whole experience! A great many things go into a successful venture, and the organizers had it all locked in!
Great race location, time, and cause. It was a very enjoyable run. I'd do it every year.
Great race. Very well organized, great turnout, and good food. I would definitely be participating next year.
Lots of food and drinks after the race, and not a terribly crowded race, which was nice.
Great race! Well organized, nice course, safe, and fun. Best yet it supported a very serious issue?
Ditto what others said: great race, nice sized crowd, awesome cause. I didn't miss the mile markers because I ran the exact same course during the St. Patrick's Day 8K. Had that not been the case, I would have sorely missed them. Also, had I known the race was smaller than most and parking on race day would be so easy to find, I would have picked my packet up before the race instead of on Saturday. The area immediately around the Logan Circle Pacers is a bit congested. All in all, I do plan on running this race next year.
Great cause and nice event as everyone has said. However, the kids' run happened before the 10:30 time listed on the schedule. We made a restroom trip at 10:10 and came back after the kids' race had ended. My child had been very excited to run, so it would be great if the run could be held as scheduled next time (and if the website would provide the schedule in advance).
It was even better than last year. The course was fun and the weather was beautiful! I had a fantastic time and look forward to next year's!
