This is a beautiful race. The setting is perfect. The organizers and volunteers did a great job. It was a very hot day. They had plenty of liquids provided. I can't wait to do it again next year!
The route was great (loved running through the fort and over the bridge), but I wish they held this activity in the early morning. It was a really hot day. Start zone/line was not indetified well. Water at the bridge was not kept cold.
Great event - course well marked, well organized, results generated quickly!! Also love the post race snacks - pretzels dipped in frosting with sprinkles were yummy!!
The setting was gorgeous. This was my first 5K, and I was not prepared for parts of it to be on trails or with so many hills. The race was at the heat of the day, and had an uphill finish. It was a little discouraging/intimidating for a first timer. I had a lot of fun, but wouldnt have registered had I known more about the actual course.
It was a fun race, beautiful setting, well organized and great voluteers. The weather gods were not cooperating in the temperature dept. Overall, very enjoyable.
The setting was beautiful as others said. The race was well organized, but I wish there had at least been a clock at the end of the race. Plenty of water, as it was needed, temps in the high 80's. I would have enjoyed the race much more had it been at say 8am instead of 3pm.
Fantastic race! Organizers did a great job. I'm hoping it's held again next year!
