I think it would be fine, as long as you feel okay. Just try a walk/jog/run combination or whatever works best for you. Events are usually wonderful experiences and provide additional motivation, so I would say join the race and have a good time.
By next weekend you'll be at the end of the 3rd week of C25K, which is a 23 min mixture of walking, jogging and running. I don't know your current speed, but if you were to do that mixture (per the C25K plan) for the length of the 5K, you should finish in good shape. Just don't try to run the whole thing unless you've been doing other aerobic exercise on the side - especially if you're signing up to do the race with others who are running it.

I completed my first 5K today. It was great. I was very happy that I was able to complete it. I have only been doing C25K for 3 weeks.

That's great! Congratulations. I just started C25K myself and you've inspired me to sign up for one.
You should! Just go at your own pace and don't be afraid to walk some if you need to. Don't make the mistake of trying to go at the same pace as the others that may have been running longer than you.
I am going to register for another one to be held July 4th. I am hoping to see some improvement in my time.
