Testing the running waters (as it were) after a lifetime (50+ years) of mostly non-running.
Not that I've been entirely sedentary ... I've enjoyed cycling, rowing, swimming, and one heck of a lot of walking.
Typically, I walk at least *part* (if not all) of the 4 miles to and/or from work.
On running days, I'll run as much of that distance as I feel able --
currently a little over half, in chunks.
My question -- on a rest day, is it okay to still do the walk to/from work?
