I am an all around guard and I haven't played organized ball in over a year. Today my summer league team won 2 and lost 2 in a tournament. Since I haven't played in so long my minutes have been low (this time I got about 7-8 minutes in the whole tournament). I know pretty low right. My coach was pretty focused on our games and since we are pretty heavy on guards and light on posts, that didn't help my playing time much either. Some of my highlights were: In our second game I got a steal and ran the fast break and got fouled and made 1 of 2 free throws. (Some of the fouls on me were not called because there was only one ref.). Then after the first game my minutes decreased. In the last game I got maybe 1 minutes out of the whole game. But while I was in I went up for a shot with 2 minutes left(we were down by four) and got fouled. I knocked down 2 free throws to put us back in. And one tip right in here, just focus on the hoop late in games, don't let the crowd phase you. There was one call I didn't get when I jumped into a guy, and I still almost made the shot. But what can I do to get the coach to get me more minutes?
"I've missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."-Michael Jordan
