I just moved to the country, where there are very few landmarks to judge how far I have run

(I use mapmyrun.com to calculate). I'm looking for the cheapest odometer that is accurate.

I am hoping to not have to invest in a G.P.S. unit. Just something I can set at the beginning

of my long run and get a fairly accurate distance reading at the end.

Can anybody make a suggestion?
