Alvin Girls Softball Association lost a family member on June 3rd with the tragic passing of 5 year old Gabriel Valdez. Gabriel was a member of the "Challenger" program which provides children with special needs the opportunity to participate in baseball and being part of a team. He was an inspiration to us all and a fighter to the end. As parents, we fear the loss of a child, so we are inviting you to be a part of this celebration of Gabriel's life.

AGSA will be hosting a benefit tournament to support the family as they begin their recovery. Gabriel's father, Mario, is the coach of our 8u Bayou Babes All-star team.  And Gabriel's sister, Victoria, is the shortstop on that team....

All proceeds will be presented to the Valdez family to help with medical and funeral expenses. The tournament will be the weekend of June 30th to provide teams with the opportunity to play in an inexpensive tournament as they prepare for Nationals.

Full fundraising activities will be provided to include face painting, Sno Cones, cake walk, games and barbecue plates to name a few.

Age Groups:  6u - 18u Gold

Awards for 1st - 3rd place.$100 entry fee + $30 Pay-at-the-Plate.

100% OF THE PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THIS FAMILY IN NEED !!!!!!!!!!

We know that a lot of the all-star teams are through for the year.  But if you are short a few players, please feel free to pickup some players so your team can participate.
