The race was fun and obviously for a good cause. Lot's of good people supporting it but some things need attention before next years race. The best thing was that nobody got hurt but safety was not as good as it might have been.Traffic presented a big problem causing race leaders to instruct runners to use the sidewalks in many places--tough running and not as safe as smooth roadways. Hot-tired runners had to jump curbs and cross grass going between road and sidewalk, the finish line could only be 3 feet wide because it was on the sidewalk.
Start time of 9AM seemed alittle late for June 30 in hotlanta. Parking was an issue.
I had fun but I think considering the time of year it started too later. Obviously it was hotter than anyone might have expected but it is summer in the south. There were some traffic hazards that might have been avoided if it had been earlier also. Still had a good time, plenty of water on the course but if that course is used again needs to be earlier.
