The U.S. women's volleyball wins their third straight FIVB World Grand Prix title by sweeping host China 3-0 (26-24, 25-21, 27-25) on Sunday night in Ningbo, China according to FIVB release. VigRX
The United States finished the Grand Prix final round-robin format with five consecutive wins with hat-trick. Megan Hodge wins Most Valuable Player (MVP) award and the top scorer in the tournament. In game against China, Hodge scores 15 kills and two blocks for the U.S. to lead her team with 17 points, while Danielle Scott-Arruda added another 14, including seven blocks.
With home crowd cheering behind in photos, China started strongly in the opening set in narrow 8-6 USA lead before the U.S. launched a 6-2 run with solid blocks to make it 14-8. China fought back to edged closer 21-23 USA behind China spikers Zeng Chunlei, Hui Ruoqi and Fan Linlin.
USA experience took the set with timely kills and reception errors of the Chinese. In the second set, China was trailing 20-10 and came back strongly with 11-3 run, but could not maintain momentum to give the US team the second set at 25-21 victory. In the third set, China again went ahead 16-12 but the United States fought back with several kills from Scott-Arruda and Haneef-Park to tie 18-18. Tied at 25-25, Hodge blocked quick attack from Xu Yunli and spiking error from Zeng allowed the Americans win the final victory 27-25.
The 2008 Olympic champions Brazil defeated rising Euro powerhouse Turkey in four sets to finish runners-up. Turkey will make their Olympic Games debut in London Games in July next month is satisfied with a bronze at World Grand Prix Finals.
The Finals features World's top ranked six teams of Brazil, Cuba, Turkey, Thailand, USA and including host China after the preliminary round.
