This was the events first year and it was extremely well organized.  Over 900 runners/walkers participated.  The course was flat and they had one whole lane for us to use, so it was nice and spread out.  The only bad thing was the busses not being there at the end until everyone was done, but luckily it was a nice 1 mile walk back to where the car was parked.

What a great event!  Everything was so well organized, the cinch bags were a cool 'change' from the ordinary swag bags.  Great communication leading up to and after the race.

It's be great to see if in coming years a second distance option of a 10K would/could be added.

I loved it!!!! It was a great morning for the inaugural run/walk. Very well organized and alot of friendly people. I can't wait til next year.

This "first" year event was a phenomenal success and very well organized by all involved on all levels.  What a great "community" event for the Macomb area in hopes to build a great "annual" tradition for runners and walkers to look forward to.  Can we possibly get a "Mile Fun Run" for the youngsters to enjoy?  I know of many that enjoy running, but cannot do 3.1 miles.  If you were to do a 10K (run) also, you certainly need to begin that race a bit earlier (like 7:45) and the 5K at 8:10 so that those runners can do a "down and back" OR you need to close the entire Romeo Plank (which may not be at all possible). 

As for the "swag" that you distributed to the participants....5 STARS!!!!  LOVE THE cinch bag, t-shirt, and many "deals" for us runners from the local businesses.  The "FunFest" after the race was also an amazing activity for the entire family...My KIDS loved it!!!

This was the first 5k I have ever run.  It was very organized and I had such a great time.  The organizers deserve a huge Kudos.  It was an awesome experience.

Great event!  Eveything seemed to go exactly as planned.  They did a great job organizing this event.  I look forward to participating next year!!

This was my first 5k ever and it was so much fun! Everything was so organized, and the turn out of people was great. Definitely going to do this run again next year!
