Team Worth coming to Kentucky!!!!

Team Worth is coming to Kentucky!!!!

 

We currently have four teams for the 2012-2013 season; 12U (2001), 14U (1999), 14U (1998) and 16U(1997).  I would be open to interviewing other coaching candidates that may be interested in taking a team.  Ultimately I would like to offer the following age groups (10U-18U). 

 

This will be a HIGH LEVEL travel team.  The 14U and up WILL PLAY in several showcase events throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana and Ohio (at a minimum).  These teams will play extensive schedules to allow the players to showcase their skill to college coaches.  Everyone MUST BE committed to excellence.  Players are required to have the DESIRE, WORK ETHIC and SKILL that college coaches want to see.  I will not allow a player to be a disruptive force among the others trying to get to the next level.  Each roster will be kept to a MINIMUM (approximately 12 players) to allow ample opportunity to play and improve.  Since the roster will be kept at a minimum, WE REQUIRE 100% COMMITMENT from player and parent.  If we don't get that, it WILL NOT work.

 

We will put a skills video together for every prospect and we will have a live website that will feature the players on the roster.  We will email and call coaches of the coaches that may have interest.  We WILL do everything possible to get your daughter the opportunity the play at the next level.  This program is not for everyone; it is for the player that has the desire to play this game at the next level. 

 

Open try-outs will be in early August for two days.  The site and times will be announced soon.

    What area of Ky. And why copy a name that is already all over the middle TN. area. Not to mention having to swing and carry all Worth equipment. Just wondering

    Teams will be based out of the location of the coaching staff.  I'm trying to keep practices in central Kentucky to make traveling to practices as easy as possible on the parents.  We are not trying to start Lil' Suzy's all-star travel team.  We wanted to have a name that is reputable enough to draw the type of player we are interested in, yet DO IT LEGALLY.  I have been in contact with SEVERAL manufacturer's and I did not speak to any of them that KNOWINGLY allow their name to be used in regards to a team.  I am not going to use a name of any manufacturer without their knowledge.  I worked out details and expectations with Worth and decided that this was a good opportunity for the girls and their parents.

     

    Something that people need to realize, this organization is NOT for everyone.  It may not be for you or your daughter.  However this will be a great opportunity for a select group.  This organization is being formed to allow highly skilled players an opportunity to be seen by college coaches without having to mortgage their homes to do so.  Our coaches will coach because they love it, not because they get paid because they will not be paid anything.  We are trying to offer an affordable alternative to some similar organizations in the area.  I don't necessarily think you have to travel across the United States to be seen by colleges.  I believe that goal can be accomplished by driving 4-5 hours and playing with a competitive group of players that have the same goals as you.  This is and always will be about the kids.

    It has not been finalized yet.  I hope to have all of the details, date & location, nailed down by middle of next week.  I will post updates on here and I will email all those who have emailed me and inquired about the try-outs.

     

    Sorry for the delay.  It will be in the first half of August.
