20 and 21 Aug Mon-Tue

Mon:  Was a 2 mile warm up then 5X 1 mile repeats done @ a tad faster than 1/2 pace with a 1 mile cooldown, ended with some band work for our hips.

Tues;  Ran 6 on heavy legs in soup.

    Nothing Monday.  Tuesday: A nice 4.5 mile run this evening. I was planning to do some intervals but the track was closed for repair!

    Monday: rest day, since I ran Sat and ran long on Sun.


    Tuesday: epically awesome 3.56 miles out of a four-miler, at which point I strained a calf muscle (things in my body that should not make a popping sound for $500, Alex!) and had to hobble home. Am icing. It's much better today, but it's going to be at least a few days. Probably no running until AT LEAST the weekend, and that will NOT be 12 miles as scheduled.

    The only thing running around here on Sun, Mon, and Tues was my nose, and me to the head.


    I had a powerful cold/flu come upon me Sunday afternoon and did not let up until Wednesday morning.


    Everything ached.


    I went running tonight (Wed) 3 miles at the track to check out how I was feeling. Suprisingly good. Everything should be back to normal tomorrow
